Job description

Position objectives

The team is responsible for the development and maintenance of the Public SDK and the JavaScript Runtime. The SDK is used for developing 1st, 2nd and 3rd party apps for our smartwatches. This is a cross functional team, with members working on mobile, firmware, backend and frontend. Our stakeholders include other internal teams, community developers and end users.
We’re looking for people who are excited about health and technology, and how these together can make a difference in people’s everyday lives.

Essential functions

  1. Creating, prioritizing, and organizing test cases into logical suites for both automated and manual execution
  2. Designing test specs and create test strategy for new and existing features
  3. Automating test cases using existing mobile automation framework
  4. Executing and monitoring results of automated suites within our CI infrastructure
  5. Working with other engineers to increase manual and automated test coverage
  6. Working with the FDP iOS and Android engineers to create TypeScript applications (test apps) which run via an
    automation framework to exercise SDK functionality
  7. Defining test framework requirements
  8. Developing modules to automate feature test cases
  9. Researching evolving test and automation trends
  10. Utilizing test and development best practices, patterns, and processes within the engineering team
  11. Mentoring junior engineers on testing best practices, patterns and processes
  12. Working in an Agile test environment

Required key skills

  1. Great communication and collaboration skills
  2. Proficient in Java, Kotlin, Swift or equivalent language
  3. Strong troubleshooting and debugging skills

Qualifications

  1. Bachelor’s in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering or equivalent
  2. Passionate about technology and software development
  3. 3+ years of total experience in QA/Testing & Test Automation
  4. 1+ years experience with mobile application testing
  5. Previous experience with mobile operating systems (Android or iOS)
  6. Previous experience with automation/scripting
  7. Work experience in an Agile development environment

Great to have

Previous experience with JavaScript/TypeScript
