We’re all living in a full of diversity, sometimes wild, but most of the time wonderful world. The “everyone is different” cliché could not be truer nowadays. Each person has its particularities, its ways to approach opportunities, and fulfill its dreams. So, when it comes to recruiting, meeting all these great expectations is not easy at all.

I approach each candidate in an individual, personalized way, in order to offer them the best experience they can have with us. For me everyone is equally important. The first and most important step is to make an in-depth research on each person I target”, Ramona Gabroveanu, HR Specialist, Craiova office, Enea Romania.

The times when people were looking for jobs and when companies were receiving online applications is far from today.

Probably more than any other, the IT&C sector offers a lot of opportunities and challenges for companies and IT people. We believe that today, there has to be a strong bond between people and organizations and a perfect match to go further. All parties involved need development, need to achieve satisfaction and benefits, an organization and its people need to be equally confident to walk together on a common path.

The research phase

We are looking for our next colleagues in social media, online or offline events, conferences and fairs. We mostly communicate through video, images and other types of content and we have created a special platform to express our passion for engineering and to reveal the beauty of being an Enean. We are using this fresh and friendly platform to communicate with everyone who wants to find out more about us, to find out how we could collaborate, create and develop together. Also, we are publishing here the open positions in Enea Romania”, Ramona also says.  

In a crowded market where everybody need to access the best resources, Enea Romania chooses to carefully evaluate each of the candidates. This phase of research and analysis is very important for us. This way we know that when we’ll open the discussions, the chances of closing the contract tend to 100%. This approach is to candidates’ advantage because they do not get from us proposals that are not suitable for them or that they are not interested in. Also, this means an advantage for us because we are smoothly reaching the teams development objectives and we are building up the Enea Romania employer brand in a friendly way.

The matching point

The recruiting process within Enea involves two stages. A preliminary phase when the recruiter makes a first contact, and a second interview with the Program Manager, which can be done remotely, by Skype for example.

We first initiate the informative discussion with the candidates, so both of us could find the most important information about each other. We have to identify what’s important for each candidate, and what is his career path. These things are needed in order to know if we fit together. Further, the company and the projects must be presented to them, to get them a detailed perspective to what-how-why we’ll going to do together.”, Ramona declares.

Technologies and projects, the best bargaining chip

When interviewed about their professional interests, the candidates take into consideration a lot of things. Most of them are asking about the project, the team and the technologies they’ll work with. We think that in IT&C field, it is really important not to go just for one type of language or to be specialized in just one type of technology, as we all are operating in a domain with fantastic dynamics. Therefore, it’s important for us to see they have an open attitude and are ready to learn constantly.   

If we would rank the top priorities our candidates have in mind when they choose Enea, we’d say the most important is the project and the team they will work with, and also the possibility to go from a project to another and to access different new technologies. Happily, Enea is a very dynamic company and we are very connected to new technologies like NFV/SDN”, Ramona adds.

It’s obvious, being a recruiter in IT&C these days is a very complex job, it is involving PR, communication and marketing knowledge and actions. We are very happy having people like Ramona onboard that get involved with all their energy and, thanks to them, everything seems easier.
