Job description

Position objectives

Our client, designs, develops, manufactures, markets, and distributes infrared cameras that serve a number of applications in government & defense, industrial and commercial markets. They bring innovative sensing solutions into daily life through thermal imaging, visible-light imaging, video analytics, measurement and diagnostic and advanced threat detection system.
The purpose of the current project is to validate a library used as a software development kit for developing apps for specialized users, called thermographers, who inspect assets using infrared cameras. The customer’s ecosystem involves applications for Android, iOS and Web clients and a backend that communicates with a cloud solution.

Contacts & Supervisory responsibilities

Together with your team colleagues, you are working closely with the project manager (PM) which is providing you support for the daily technical jobs and with the delivery director (DD) which is empowering your skills and expertise by providing the needed knowledge, information and resources.

Essential duties & Responsibilities

  1. Increasing the suite of testing applications, for both Android and iOS platforms, as well as integrating them with the existing CD/CI system
  2. Manual test executions prior to releases
  3. Providing Tier 3 support
  4. Investigate, report and follow up bugs throughtout their lifecycle using specific tools (JIRA, Confluence)

Required key skills

  1. Experience with Android software development (Java)
  2. Experience with iOS software development (Objective-C)
  3. Experience with Bash
  4. Knowledge of QA methodologies and tools
  5. Experience with software testing for mobile apps Android and iOS
  6. Ability to spot flaws and inconsistencies
  7. Excellent written & verbal communication skills (English language)

Qualifications

  1. University degree in computer science, electrical engineering or equivalent experience
  2. 3+ years of working experience in testing

Great to have

  1. Experience of working in a global team environment
  2. Confluence/Jira knowledge
  3. Experience with Jenkins automatition server
  4. Experience with Android software development using Kotlin
  5. Experience with iOS software development using Swift
