Job description

Position objectives

You will create and maintain general requirements and design specifications, and will perform to meet best coding practices and standards.
You will play with a team of senior engineers. Just like you, they have knowledge of a wide range of technologies and never stop learning. Just like you, they’re up for the challenge.

Essential functions

    You’ll be in on medical device product development from day one. Expect to jump in on different parts of the embedded stack, from device drivers up to the UI. Follow coding standard and procedures to FDA standards of approval. Your challenges may be in areas like:

  1. Analyzing business logic requirements along with the client engineers
  2. Designing software architecture for application modules
  3. Implementing applications and business logic
  4. Maintaining existing applications, from BSP to UI level
  5. Develop and enable new product features in embedded software
  6. Design and implement system technologies, such as data management and transport

Required key skills

  1. Linux & embedded Linux, user space, kernel space
  2. Dev work for automotive, medical, avionics or networking
  3. Linux inter process communications
  4. Great understanding of C++ STL structures, patterns, behaviours and containers
  5. Multi threading
  6. Agile development methodology
  7. Debugging skills
  8. Teamwork

Qualifications

  1. University degree in computer science, electrical engineering or equivalent
  2. 3+ years of working experience in Linux, Embedded environment and/or modern C++

Great to have

  1. Buildroot or Yocto experience
  2. RTOS experience
  3. Dev work for automotive, medical, avionics
