Job description

Position objectives

Our client, designs, develops, manufactures, markets, and distributes infrared cameras that serve a number of applications in government & defense, industrial and commercial markets. They bring innovative sensing solutions into daily life through thermal imaging, visible-light imaging, video analytics, measurement and diagnostic and advanced threat detection system.

The engineer is responsible for developing apps for specialized users, called thermographers, who inspect assets using infrared cameras. The engineer will be developing multiple desktop and web applications that cover different thermographic user scenarios The customer’s ecosystem involve applications for Android, iOS, Web and desktop clients and a backend that communicates with a cloud solution.

Contacts & Supervisory responsibilities

Together with your team colleagues, you will work closely with the entire working team, which is providing you support for the daily technical jobs, and with the Project Lead and Program Manager who are empowering your skills and expertise by providing the needed knowledge, information and resources.

Essential functions

  1. Analyzing UX/business logic requirements along with the Product Manager/Owner
  2. Participate in software architecture development
  3. Develop .Net applications used by professionals such as camera and image management apps connected to cloud services
  4. Review existing codebases and improve or make recommendations for improving them
  5. Work with QA team in the completion of product verification and validation
  6. Ensure close communication and working relationship with R&D, UI/UX, QA, PMO and other necessary functional teams
  7. Provide updates to Senior management team as required
  8. Responsible for exhibiting professional behavior with both internal/external business associates that reflects positively on the company and is consistent with the company’s policies and practices; build productive internal/external working relationships
  9. Participate in scrum meetings and follow internal software development, cyber security, and validation procedures that comply with security regulations
  10. Participates in product/process improvement
  11. Performs other related duties and responsibilities, on occasion, as assigned

Required key skills

  1. Good understanding of the .Net Core platform
  2. Worked with C# in app development
  3. Experience from cross-functional collaborations
  4. Excellent collaboration skills
  5. Solution orientation and resourcefulness
  6. A doer’s attitude that gets things done
  7. Excellent written & verbal communication skills (English language)

Qualifications

  1. Bachelor of Science in Computer Engineering, Computer Science or equivalent
  2. 3 to 6 years of related work experience is required

Great to have

  1. Experience with React / React-Redux / Redux-saga
  2. Knowledge of WebGI (glsl shaders)
  3. Knowledge of WebAssembly
  4. Confluence/Jira knowledge
  5. Experience of working in a global team environmentt
