Job description

Position objectives

The role is responsible for pre-sales activities and services & products delivery management for both existing customers / partners and new sales opportunities. This position offers an excellent opportunity for an individual willing to learn and progress with the networking industry by working in areas such as Network Intelligence, SDN and NFV. The successful candidate will be given the opportunity to develop and acquire new technical and personal development skills.

Essential functions

  1. Provide pre-sale on-site technical presentations regarding our products and technology and provide product demonstrations
  2. Provide pre-sales support, positioning, architectural recommendations and presentations of our value proposition to the different types of addressed customers (TEMs, Solution Vendors, System Integrators) or to the end customers (Service Provider, Telcos) in support of a pull strategy. In close cooperation with the Sales teams, to actively participate into the RFI, RFP and RFQ process by defining the strategy of answer and by leading the technical sales parts of the proposal
  3. Provide answers to customer inquiries concerning software/hardware and applications
  4. Define, install and manage customer evaluations and POC
  5. Provide assistance to customers to design architecture and build applications demonstrating the feasibility of the targeted system, often requiring rapid prototyping
  6. Play a key role into the Customer Operations process and lead the Technical relation with customers in close cooperation with the Sales managers
  7. Provide technical support in sales presentations, product demonstrations, installation, and first level maintenance of company products to ensure that the system is functioning according to specifications
  8. Design customized solutions for customers based on our technological components in line with the R&D team
  9. Collect customer product requirements and feed the product management process
  10. Understand the industry competitive landscape along with our unique value proposition
  11. Provide systematic market feedback on the addressed business segments to the Marketing team in order to continuously enhance solutions market differentiation and evolution (Product Review)
  12. Manage Services & Products deliveries to customer in the frame of a Project Management type of activity
  13. Manage a close technical relationship with the customer
  14. Coordinate QOSMOS internal resources (Product Engineering, Project Engineering, Customer Services & Support) contributing to the delivery of products and services

Required key skills

  1. Ability to effectively deliver our product presentations and demonstrations
  2. Ability to lead pre-sales discussions with customers
  3. Ability to design customized and appropriate solutions according to the customer needs (through software development)
  4. Ability to quickly understand new technologies and architectures
  5. Internal and external customer satisfaction
  6. Able to understand and explain related technical issues
  7. Thorough knowledge of sales procedures, company’s products, and all potential applications
  8. Thorough knowledge of one or more programming languages
  9. Good organizational and long-range planning skills
  10. Good verbal and written communications skills
  11. Must have proven technical/presentation and selling ability in previous job level
  12. Strong interpersonal skills
  13. Ability to work with multiple departments within an internal and customer organization
  14. Ability to manage multiple projects and work under pressure
  15. Self-starter, highly motivated, team player, enthusiastic, hardworking, and enjoy interfacing with customers on a day to day basis
  16. Hands-on configuration and operational knowledge
  17. Must be willing to travel
  18. Qualifications

    1. Engineering Degree in Computer Science or Electrical Engineering
    2. Master Degree in Computer Science or Electrical Engineering is a plus
    3. Direct experience supporting OEM design-in cycles preferred
    4. 5 years minimum of software development experience
    5. Experience in customer relationship management
    6. Thorough understanding of IP networks and services (Internet based, VoIP, TV, VoD, 3G…)
    7. Knowledge of application protocols
    8. Knowledge of IP network architecture
    9. Experience in C language programming
    10. OS knowledge, including various Linux versions
    11. Knowledge in Deep Packet Inspection technology is a plus
    12. Knowledge in tools and network analyzers is a plus
